Magistrates Courts and Crown Courts deal with 'crime' in the widest sense.
These include the most obvious alleged offences involving dishonesty or violence, but also motoring offences (minor and major) and breaches of all manner of regulations. Breaches of regulations may be health and safety at work, hygiene and breaches of planning regulations to name just a few.
Some alleged offences and some people may be entitled to Legal Aid. To whether you are entitled to Legal Aid please see our links page for a link to the Legal Aid Calculator. If you are entitled to Legal Aid you should be aware we no longer do Legal Aid work, but we do crime work at our normal rates.
